AT&T will buy Six Flags here's why...

Six Flags Theme Park is one of the largest theme park groups in the world. Six Flags has several theme parks throughout the United States in locations that include Texas, California, New Jersey, And New York.

Six Flags has had a long standing relationship with Time Warner who is currently being purchased by AT&T and the deal should be finalized before the end of the year. AT&T's purchase of Time Warner could get Six Flags the library of content such as Game of Thrones, HBO, and many other broadcasting networks and shows. This move mirrors Disney's purchase of ABC and ESPN as well as the NBC merger with Comcast.

Comcast owns Universal Theme Parks and Disney owns Disney Theme Parks which are free advertisements for the brands they own. Disney purchased Star Wars and is now incorporating it with Star Wars land and a themed hotel. Six Flags is already built on the pipeline of content from Time Warner. If AT&T bought Six Flags, capital improvements including hotels and new rides could easily be funded. Six Flags could put Game of Thrones additions into some of its theme parks across the US. Six flags currently uses several DC Comic's superheroes in its rides. New Time Warner superhero movies could bring new rides and attractions to Six Flags across the nation.

With AT&T needing to diversify its income from a telecom company into a media empire, the deal would be beneficial to Six flags future expansion. Currently, Six Flags is building three foreign theme parks, two in China and one in Dubai. AT&T does not have the capital restraint that current Six Flags management has and could immediately revitalize many of these theme parks with hotels to become a more vacation friendly atmosphere. ATT owning the park could allow free season pass for all customers with an ATT phone line. This could make a Six Flags family reconsider getting ATTs phone service if Six Flags passes are included in the price.

Six Flags has the largest theme park portfolio in the world and included in that is Six Flags Great Adventure. The park has a dozen roller coasters and is the by far the biggest east coast theme park around. Great adventure is very close to the NYC metro area and could serve a larger influx of people with hotel accommodations. There is zero competition from outside hotels surrounding the area. If you check Six Flags' website, they partner with hotels 30 minutes away making the park a day trip destination rather than a multi day visiting theme park. The expansion here could be incredible with the capital to increase the parks footprint and either build or partner with a hotel brand to accommodate overnight visitors. Six Flags is currently valued at under $5 billion dollars & could be the most obvious takeover target for AT&T once the Time Warner deal closes.
